Image Joe customer

Let's take the scenario of a small business operator named Joe who decides to get a website. Joe is getting one because he:

  • browses many websites on the internet and thinks they're cool
  • knows people who browse around the internet a lot
  • knows people who have websites or who are getting one
  • feels he's getting left behind because he doesn't have one.

So Joe, our intrepid website buyer starts looking around for someone to build him a website. He talks to several designers and gets an idea that it's going to cost him around X dollars. Since Joe doesn't know much about websites, he decides his best policy is to get a website for the least amount of money.

In the meantime, a given website design company gets customers like Joe on a regular basis. When such a company has figured out what Joe is willing to spend, they limit the website to fit the budget.

Everybody's happy, right?

Think about it. Joe doesn't know anything about websites, so he decides to get the cheapest website he can. The web designer or design company should know a lot about web design, but they want Joe's money, so they build a website to fit Joe's budget. Meanwhile, Joe wants a website that'll make him money. The web design company knows that, and knows what it takes to build such a website, but still won't build it for Joe because Joe won't pay for it.

What's it all mean for Joe? In many cases it means

YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY, JOE!

Don't believe me? The vast majority of websites that were intended to sell products or reach a target audience (especially in a competitive market) sit on the internet in relative obscurity. They have failed for two reasons:

  1. The website owner didn't take the time to inform himself about the reality of designing and deploying a business website in his particular market
  2. The web designer wants to make money and is willing to build an incomplete website to get it.

Here's an analogy to really drive the message home. Let's say you go to a car dealership. You tell the salesman you want a car that's really fast and capable of negotiating tight turns. You also tell him that you have five hundred dollars. The salesman smiles and walks you over to a second hand Lada with a sticker price of $499.99.

Totalnetqc customer policy

In light of what I've told you, let me now tell you -- without any fancy,  long-winded legalese -- about Totalnetqc's customer policy:

Totalnetqc will guide you towards building a business website that conforms to realistic expectations about the market you're in, not just your budget. If your budget is less than what Totalnetqc would charge to meet those expectations, Totalnetqc will inform you of that fact and let you decide how to proceed. It's as simple as that.
