According to Electronic Commerce in Canada, 2006 saw $49.9 billion in online sales. According to the US Census bureau, ecommerce took in approximately $33.6 billion in the 2nd quarter of 2007 alone, a 6.4% increase over the previous quarter. Obviously, ecommerce has become an important economic activity in north America, one which will definitely continue to increase in the years to come.
